Interleague Finals 2024

2024 saw a record entry from the Kent Interleague with 16 teams represented of the 96 Entries at this years finals.

For some it was their first time at a national event but we also had quite a few veterans.

How did we do?

Going out at the group stage were:-

Whitecliffs Dover A
Gravesham B
Ashford B
Folkestone B
Canterbury A
Maidstone B

Last 64 of the Knockout stage meant the end for:-

Medway Chavvies
Gravesham C
Jordans Crusaders
Gravesham A
Whiteclifs Elite

Last 32 of the Knockout stage saw the departure of:-

Medway A

Whitecliffs Dover B – Good effort from the team currently at the foot of Our Division 3.

Last 16 of the Knockout stage after a close match we lost:-

Romney Invicta

Onto the quarter finals & after a very close match narrowly losing 10-7 to the eventual winners Maidenhead A it was the end of the road for;-

 Sheppey A

This left us with one team standing at the semi final stage & once again after a close match losing 10-6 to Telford we saw the departure of a team that has previously won this event:-

Rochester

Thanks for your commitment and enthusiasm in competing in this event.

Special congratulations to Sheppey A on reaching the last 8 & Rochester for reaching yet another semi-final.

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible taking part next year

Regards

JPF

Interleague Results

So just over half way through the Interleague season and some interesting situations emerging in the tables.

All of the results can be found at the link below:

It’s a while off yet but as a reminder the play-offs for promotion and relegation will be played on 4th December at Chatham Pool and Snooker Club (the Interleague Singles KO is on the same day). The play-offs are determined as per the Interleague Rules:

5.3  Promotion and relegation will be decided as follows;

(a)  The teams finishing top of Division 1 will be crowned as Kent Interleague Champions for that season

(b)  Teams finishing top of all other Divisions will be promoted

(c)  Teams finishing bottom Divisions 1, 2 and 3 will be relegated

(d)  Teams finishing third and teams finishing second from bottom in the division above the thirdplaced team, will play each other on Interleague Play Off day. The winner of this ‘play-off’ will then play the team that finished second in the lower division of the two. The winner of this ‘Play off Final’ will then be rewarded with a position in the higher of the two relevant divisions for the following season, with the losing teams taking up a position in the lower of the two divisions in question.

(e)  A player must have played, at least 20% of that season’s Interleague frames to qualify to play for that team, in the Interleague Play-Offs.

Interleague report

After our third Interleague of the season the picture is starting to form as to how this year might play out. But a lot can happen in the remaining matches.

Divisions 1 and 2 both have teams tied in first place on 6 points: Gravesham A and Romney Invicta in Division1 and Sheppey Shipwreckers and Gravesham B in Division 2.

Divisions 3 and 4 have clear front runners with Whitecliffs Dover B and Jordans Crusaders extending their unbeaten runs on 9 points each

Full results can be found on our Interleague pages

The next Interleague fixture is the KO Cup on Sunday 1st May. A copy of the draw is below (Ashford A have withdrawn after the draw was complete).

Good luck to all teams!
