Thanks to all those who attended and made such a great day.
With the country now moving into the final stages of restrictions being fully lifted it is time to start thinking about getting pool back to normal, in the safest way for everyone, as quickly as possible.
County Matches
Kent, as well as all counties in Region 7, will NOT be playing county pool this year. We have collectively decided to concentrate on our own areas to support our venues and increase players confidence in returning to competitive pool. We recognise that there will be those who are raring to go yet others who are feeling a little wary.
Events for 2021
The Kent Committee are currently working on events at different venues in the county, for all sections, consisting of singles, doubles and triples competitions to suit everyone. The Kent Open will also be going ahead in 2021 with dates and details for all events being announced when it becomes clearer how government restrictions are heading.
EPA Registrations
We are hoping that most of our leagues will be looking to restart as soon as possible and we are pleased to announce that League Affiliations and EPA ID card memberships will be free for 2021 but you will still need to be registered to enter some events so please do not delay in doing so. Completed forms and any photos needed can be sent to registrations@kentcountypool.co.uk
National Events
The EPA are quietly confident that the October Interleague and the November Ladies + C of C events will be going ahead. These obviously will have very relaxed qualification criteria due to the pandemic but we are hoping they will be well supported by Kent once again.
All leagues should now have been contacted regarding Champion of Champions in November. If any league has not been contacted yet and wishes to compete please go to the EPA website tournaments page or contact secretary@kentcountypool.co.uk
The KCPA committee look forward to seeing you all very soon!!!!

Dear All
Roger Finney Manager of Vauxhall Holiday Park Great Yarmouth (Park Dean). Attended a meeting with the EPA National Committee 21/11/20.
To outline all procedures and risk assessments in place for Spring events 2021, working with the EPA.
EPA and Vauxhall are confident these events can go ahead, albeit with reduced numbers for social distancing, also permitting not in lockdown. We need to understand that these events will not have the same experience as we’re all used to but the EPA are working hard alongside Vauxhall to make this the best experience possible.
The EPA encourage all members/leagues/Counties to support and enter the events online now:
1st weekend events Ladies Singles/ Ladies Ko cup/ Champion of champions.
2nd weekend events National Inter-League Finals (more events to follow).
Roger Finney has also stated there is a price promise in place for the spring events. (Monies carried over or refunded). Further updates to follow.

(Sun, 24 May 2020 17:51:52 +0100)
A National Meeting was held 23 May 2020.
Subject to the current restrictions on large social gatherings being relaxed sufficiently enough for us all to safely resume playing pool at both the Interleague and the Interleague KO cup along with the safety of the teams, captains/organisers/staff and individual players ongoing safety not being compromised, the following was agreed…
The 2019 Interleague Finals which were due to be played 28/29 March are now scheduled to be played in place of the Interleague KO on 10/11 October and the 2020 Interleague KO would be scheduled for the weekend of 5/6 December 2020. The Golden Cue competition which was due to take place on 5/6 December is now cancelled for this year.
Due to the exceptional circumstances, it has been agreed that the greatest flexibility will be allowed in selecting players and teams for the Interleague events.
